This is a wedding that will always be special to me – not only did Little House of Flowers arrange the florals for the event, but I was their day of Coordinator as well. The location was incredible – right on the water at the bride’s parent’s home (which actually felt more like a private oasis!). Playing on the beach atmosphere of the home, the couple decided on the theme ‘Bringing the Tropics to Maryland’ – and that they did!
The color scheme was splashes of blues and greens, and decor was accented with candles and starfish – it made for a truly tropical, yet very romantic, ambiance. Centerpieces were vivid, blue orchids under water and topped with candles that lit up the night.
The bride’s bouquet was a vibrant and eclectic mix of viburnum from Pennsylvania, white dove roses from Ecuador, white calla lilies, and blue orchids from Thailand. It was various shades of blue, and truly completed the beach look! The arrangement looked flawless against the bride’s gown – a gorgeous one from Bridals by Elena in Gambrills.
During the reception, guests dined on a five star meal from Palette Pleasers of Annapolis, then danced the night away.
This beautiful beach wedding was brought to life with images from the talented Linda McCarthy of Visual Concepts Photography (I especially love the photo of the groom with the bride’s bouquet – adorable) – enjoy!
